New WAA Workshop

Part of my involvement with the Wyoming Artists’ Association now includes leading one of the workshops at this year’s convention:  Equine Drawing.  As the convention is being held at the Sublette County Fairgrounds, it seemed only natural to include one of the animals commonly featured there.

We will be spending the first morning session working on a series of exercises dealing with equine anatomy.  The latter part of the workshop will be doing practical applications on sketching a live horse.  The knowledge and confidence gained through these drills should be of great use to any artist.  Although the skill set seems advanced and quite specialized, I am approaching this workshop with the aim that all skill levels and genres can benefit.

Should be a lot of fun!  If you are interested, check out the WAA info here.
